I’ve Found A Way To Make People Smile Whilst Making A Living Travelling The World

Ever since Bored Panda helped my photography style go viral last year (see my previous posts here and here), I’ve been flooded with offers to pick up my camera & paper cut-outs and head off to some incredible destinations. Over the last six months I’ve been to Singapore, Nanjing, Hong Kong, Val D’Isere, New York and Las Vegas with various tourist boards and brands. It’s been an incredible string of adventures around the world, all whilst pursuing new levels of creativity in my photos- and what’s made these last six months extra special is that people around the globe have taken an interest in what I do.

I Spent 15 Years Photographing Cities In Water Drops

The story starts 15 years ago with a photo from my window. I kept this technique and photos away from public as I wanted to show it to the World first. And what a better way to do it with the greatest city in the World, New York!Some of the photos are on film, but most of them are digital, but it is a macro photography technique, not a Photoshop, that is why it has flaws in sharpness and a lot of blurs.

Optical Illusion Graffiti Creates Portal to a Parallel Universe on the Side of a Building

Parisian graffiti artist Astro contorts flat architectural facades into illusory vortexes with a vibrant graphic twist. His painted patterns combine smooth, swirling curves and calligraphy with sharper shapes in dynamically detailed designs that are eye-catching on their own; and, as if to suck his viewers farther into each piece, he adds the appearance of dark, receding chasms, tunneling deep into the walls.Astro’s newest work is a massive and arresting mural on a residential building in Loures, Portugal, just south of Lisbon. Created on behalf of urban art project Loures Art Publica, the mind-bending masterpiece uses electric blue tones to create the semblance of shadows, and incorporates the artist’s trademark technique of warped perspective to contrive a fictional abyss. I Carved A Family Of Elephants Into A Pencil

My first pencil carving at this scale was of a train – and in December of 2015 it went viral across Facebook and the Internet! I was even featured on a TV show in Barcelona. Since then, I’ve been busy taking orders, answering questions and doing interviews.Recently, I have been doing only commission work and with that brings interesting and challenging designs.

This Spinning Illusion Is Obviously Some Sort of Light Magic

I don’t know how these tiny dancers got trapped inside this spinning zoetrope but it’s the only explanation I can come up with for this insane light animation. Their movements are so smooth, and the shining light captures the grace of their dance so well that I’m sure some sort of magic has to be at play here.
